Interop Las Vegas 2010 Names Siemens Enterprise Communications Official Network and Voice Communications Provider
Apr 02, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Siemens Enterprise Communications announced that it has been selected as the official InteropNet 2010 provider of network infrastructure and voice solutions for Interop Las Vegas and New York.
According to Siemens, the company's Enterasys, OpenScape and OpenStage families of infrastructure, communications and telephony products will supply network connectivity and voice solutions for 400 Interop exhibitors, hundreds of presenters and thousands of attendees.
"Interop is encouraged to be working with Siemens Enterprise Communications to deliver standards-based, open-architecture interoperability for the event," said Lenny Heymann, General Manager for Interop. "This will be the third year that we've selected Enterasys networking solutions, so we are familiar with the high level of quality their team delivers."
Enterasys networking solutions will again leverage automated provisioning features to connect the many different Interop exhibitors and attendees with the right level of service, performance and quality. This year's InteropNet will highlight many different products, including the latest addition to the modular switching family, the multi-terabit Enterasys S-Series, to handle edge access, distribution, core and data center network needs in this complex environment. The Enterasys Network Management Suite (NMS) and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) will deliver managed and secured open access to the Internet, connecting to network equipment from other InteropNet sponsors.
At the same time, OpenScape Voice and OpenScape UC Applications, communications solutions that use standards such as SIP and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), will work with the Enterasys network and help Interop ease integration with other communication systems that show exhibitors and attendees require. By using a data center approach, voice, cloud computing and UC services can be overlaid in the Interop IT environment, eliminating barriers between communications systems by providing effortless interoperability with other complementary offerings. This will allow Interop organizers to integrate Polycom wireless handsets and video solutions, while providing IM, presence, one number service, and conferencing.
The Interop Las Vegas 2010 show is from April 25-29 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
