Vectra to implement SeaChange's web-centric Adrenalin video back office

May 24, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- SeaChange International, Inc., a provider of communications equipment solution, has announced that Vectra will implement its next generation, web-centric Adrenalin video back office.

Adrenalin will support Vectra's rollout of video-on-demand (VOD) in 2012, as well as future expansion into multi-screen services and social TV.

Vectra provides analog and digital cable television to over 800,000 customers in Poland. It offers broadband internet and fixed telephony, and mobile internet. The choice of Adrenalin reflects Vectra's ambition to develop multi-screen services, delivering content to PCs, tablets and smart phones.

Adrenalin enables linear and VOD management across multiple devices and supports time-shifted services including restart TV, catch-up TV and network PVR models. Using an open, service-oriented architecture, this next-generation solution lets video service operators of all sizes deliver video assets across multiple networks.

"Consumers want ever more choice. After extending our digital TV offering with additional channels, VOD is an important first step towards a truly multi-screen video service for our customers," said Tomasz Zuranski, CEO of Vectra.

"SeaChange has extensive experience of successful multi-screen video deployments worldwide, both in software and system integration. They have been a valuable partner in defining and implementing an infrastructure that supports our business strategy. The Adrenalin video back office fits perfectly." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
