Maryland Governments Apply for $100 Million in Broadband Stimulus

Some 10 Maryland counties and cities have applied for $100 million in federal stimulus money for a regional fiber network connecting more than 800 local government institutions including public schools, libraries and public safety agencies.
The "One Maryland Broadband Plan" includes Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Harford, Carroll, Prince George’s, Montgomery and Frederick counties and the cities of Annapolis and Baltimore.
