In today’s technology-driven world, one only needs a handful of things to survive: food, water, smart devices and a reliable Internet connection.
Let’s be honest, we live in a society where technology and the Web have created a new standard of living that has made us dependant on our mobile devices and broadband access. No matter if you are at home, at work or traveling, it seems that if we are not able to obtain a connection to the internet, whether wireless or wireline, we are lost.
Ethernet providers like Actelis (News - Alert) Networks provide Ethernet over bonded-copper broadband solutions to ensure that customers never run into the issue of being without a reliable connection. In fact, the company prides itself on its ability to provide access in areas where other companies cannot.
Actelis leverages existing copper networks to accelerate the delivery of broadband services with fiber-like quality and reliability at a lower cost. The company has always been at the forefront of providing its customers with broadband solutions, starting trends and initiatives in the industry that other companies have followed.
Last week in San Jose, Calif., TMC (News - Alert) had the opportunity to sit down with Prakash Nagpal, director of solutions marketing, and Chris Heinemann, director of marketing communications at Actelis, to discuss the latest at Actelis and their thoughts on the Ethernet industry.
“The demand for broadband solutions has shifted to ensuring providers can deliver the right amount of speed to customers,” Nagpal said. Not only does Actelis provide its customers with rapid deployment, but the company is able to deliver it in rural and underserved areas, another issue that many broadband providers in the market run into.
“You have to be able to be effective in how you scale from not only a cost perspective, but an operational perspective, as well,” he continued. “It makes a big difference in how you scale.”
Nagpal noted that 10 percent of areas in need of broadband services are actually underserved communities where whitespace is not provided. He credits Actelis’ BBA solution as a game changer in the industry. Actelis’ Broadband Accelerators (BBAs) transform carrier networks to deliver ubiquitous broadband to every household over existing copper.
In the near future, Actelis intends to begin focusing more on new markets including additional residential areas.
