GENBAND (News - Alert) has introduced an RCS-e (enhanced Rich Communications Suite)-compliant, feature-rich mobile application, named GENBAND Mobile Life. GENBAND Mobile Life is the first to provide them on a single, browser-based app for residential subscribers, instead of managing disparate applications downloaded from various mobile app stores.
Consumers can manage their lives from a single touch screen menu with a common interface by delivering one mobile phone application that unifies all of the services available on your desktop or laptop. Unified services include instant and SMS messaging, e-mail, address book, social network integration, photos, music libraries and video chat, according to a company press release.
“Consumers depend more than ever on their mobile devices to deliver a range of capabilities traditionally offered in standalone solutions and applications,” said Mehmet Balos (News - Alert), Chief Marketing Officer at GENBAND. “As part of our commitment to mobile broadband innovation and IP convergence, GENBAND Mobile Life brings it all together in one feature-rich application, from video conferencing to controlling TV settings to family schedules. Whether on vacation or at soccer practice, GENBAND Mobile Life makes managing life on the go more intuitive.”
Apart from Family File Sharing, Family TV Manager and Family Messaging, Family-friendly features include Family Conference, Family Blended Address Book, Family Manager, Family Calendar, and Family Communicator. Offering businesses a converged application for the mobile workforce, and emulating the office desktop experience for smartphone and tablet users, GENBAND Mobile Life follows on the successful release of GENBAND’s Mobile Office solution.
Recently, the company introduced the P Series P320 Traffic and Policy Management (TPM) platform, one of the industry's highest throughput TPM platforms, with 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) capabilities. The P320 platform offers significantly enhanced speed and network intelligence capabilities, supporting unprecedented service provider scale of up to 10 million active subscribers and 120 million active flows with the ability to enforce services and collect billing information on every active flow in the system.
