RADVISION's Upcoming Webinar Focuses on SIP-Based Communications for Non-Telecom Markets
By Marisa Torrieri, TMCnet Editor
Traditionally vertical market segments like public transportation and home health care have relied on proprietary technology implementations to boost applications and next-generation communications. But lately there’s been a growing trend for implementing standards-based solutions – even in non-telecom sectors.
RADVISION has gained experience in such solutions.
Hear about the company’s SIP-based technologies, which have been used for a variety of implementations, at RADVISION’s free webinar, “Series 3: SIP Beyond Telecom,” held Nov. 18 at 10 a.m.
The webinar’s speakers -- Sasha Ruditsky, chief technology officer for RADVISION’s technology business unit; and Tsahi Levent-Levi, project director and community facilitator for RADVISION’s Technology Business Unit -- have taken a significant role in shaping many of the VoIP standards to date. Listeners will gain valuable information from their experience and insights.
Better known by its acronym SIP, the “Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert)” was originally defined as a protocol for creating and managing sessions. Its main use is for telecommunication applications but given its extensibility and flexibility features it may be used for other implementations as well.
