Mobile Personalization - CSL Selects Amdocs Solution to Launch MyNet

CSL Limited (CSL), Hong Kong’s mobile operator, has selected Amdocs ChangingWorlds solution to support its new mobile Internet service, MyNet.
Officials with Amdocs (News - Alert) said that the company’s ChangingWorlds solution supports MyNet by learning from the user’s behavior and usage patterns to build a customer profile.

This information, company officials said, is applied to suggest links to both on- and off-portal content via a browser bar. The service is browser- and handset-independent, ensuring a superior customer experience that encourages frequent use. This level of personalization enables MyNet users to receive a different mobile Internet experience.

“The Hong Kong market has enthusiastically adopted both smartphone devices and the mobile Internet, but the interfaces are not conducive for mobile Internet browsing. This has made it difficult for users to find the specific content they’re looking for,” said Tarek Robbiati, group managing director, Telstra (News - Alert) International and chief executive officer, CSL Limited, in a statement.

Robbiati said that the launch of Next G allows the company to offer customers a personalized mobile Internet user experience across any device.
He said that the Amdocs ChangingWorlds solution makes it easy for users to experience what they want, when they want it.

Robbiati said that the introduction of MyNet expands the existing relationship with CSL, which uses Amdocs ChangingWorlds’ solutions to evolve and continually enhance its mobile data strategy across its Next G network.

Amdocs claims to be a major player in customer experience systems innovation, enabling world-leading service providers to deliver an integrated and the intentional customer experience- at every point of service.

TMCnet in November reported that Telstra, an Australian telecommunications and information services company, has selected and deployed Amdocs ChangingWorlds personalization technology to support its BigPond Mobile portal.

The portal offers customers news and information services through mobile devices. The announcement was made at the Mobile Asia Congress taking place this week.

Telstra officials said that the company has enhanced its BigPond Mobile portal offering to deliver a more personalized user experience and enable more efficient management of its mobile content services.

The company officials said that the new portal, which was designed in response to extensive customer feedback, makes navigating BigPond’s expanding inventory of entertainment, news and directory services even easier.
