Net Optics, Inc., a company specializing in intelligent network access solutions, has joined the SolarWinds Technology Partner program. Participation in SolarWinds Technology Partner Program allows for interoperability between Net Optics (News - Alert) Director and SolarWinds Orion Network Performance Monitor.

SolarWinds and Net Optics users now have the capability to discover their Management Access Devices that enable them to set traps and alerts.

Orion NPM is SolarWinds’ (News - Alert) flagship product and delivers easy-to-use features designed to support the real-world network management challenges that IT teams face. Orion NPM makes it easy to quickly detect, diagnose, and resolve performance issues within the dynamic network environment. The solution delivers real-time views and dashboards that enable users to visually track network performance.

The Net Optics Director is said to offer clear visibility of digital traffic in today’s complex data, voice and video networks. Designed for easy deployment and management, included Indigo software supports remote, centralized control and enables management of exactly which traffic is directed to each tool. 

The Net Optics director platform and SolarWinds Orion NPM communicate using Simple Network Management Protocol, management information bases, and traps.

By integrating Director DIR-3400, DIR-5400, and DIR-7400 devices into Orion NPM, both the companies believe that network managers and architects can extend visibility and manageability to the network’s monitoring access layer, driving cost-saving and revenue-enhancing improvements in overall network reliability, performance, and maintainability.
