In 1995, Mr. Thompson co-founded and was vice president of operations of EdgeNet Inc., a privately held Internet service provider (which was sold to Citadel Broadcasting Corporation in 1997 and became eFortress (eFortress)) through 1999. Mr. Thompson holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts. \

Brough Turner is a communications industry engineer and entrepreneur. He is currently founder of netBlazr.com, a startup working to change the landscape for broadband Internet access in the US urban areas. Previously Brough was co-founder and CTO of Natural MicroSystems and NMS Communications. While his leading interests are technology and innovation, his career has included roles in engineering, operations, finance, marketing and customer support. He writes and is quoted widely on telecommunications topics in trade and general business publications and he is a frequent speaker at telecom industry events around the world. Since 2001, Brough has focused on the wireless infrastructure and mobile applications. His 3G and 4G tutorials are widely popular (Google 3G Tutorial for more info). Jean-Pierre Lartigue leads the Marketing and Strategy Global Function within Alcatel-Lucent’s Wireless Division. In this role he is responsible for the global division strategy definition, market intelligence analysis and communication, pricing strategy, product positioning, internal communications, portfolio messaging, and knowledge transfer to regions/sales, customers, and media/analysts.

Prior to this, Jean-Pierre was the Vice President of Fixed Access Marketing and Communication. Here his responsibility was to oversee the market strategies, marketing and communications for Alcatel-Lucent’s broadband access, Digital Home and IPTV activities worldwide. For more than four years, he was closely involved in defining Alcatel-Lucent’s FTTH strategy, board member of the FTTH Council Europe and a strong proponent of deep fiber development in Europe.

Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent in 2002, Jean-Pierre was with the management consulting firm, Boston Consulting Group (Paris and Dallas offices), and served as Deputy Director General of Vision 1250, the European group for the development of high-definition and digital television.

Jean-Pierre holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from the French School of Telecommunication Engineers and is a published author of several papers and articles prepared as contributions to international conferences and symposiums.

He has more recently been the editor of the book “Breaking the Barriers”, gathering testimonies of experts about the global evolution of services and very high-speed broadband.

Chris Neisinger is the Executive Director of Network Planning at Verizon Wireless. In this role, Mr Neisinger and his organization are responsible for planning of the nationwide CDMA/EvDO and LTE architecture including; basestation configurations, backhaul, switching and adjunct services, data newtork architecture, signaling systems, transport, and IMS.

Chris has held various Engineering and Operational roles during his 19 years in the wireless industry. Chris’ previous industry experience includes leadership positions in joint ventures in Hungary and Malaysia.

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University.

Prior to Innovance, Peter was the Vice-President of Business Development and General Manager of the Optoelectronics organization within Nortel Networks Optical Networks division, where he had responsibilities for both the system and component businesses. Peters experience in business leadership includes heading up a 5000-employee global operation spanning R&D, manufacturing as well as Sales & Marketing. Peter has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and has been involved in numerous multi-billion dollar transactions, as well as establishing business partnerships in North America, Europe and Japan. Peter has also held managerial positions at Ford Motor Company and Rothmans International, and has lived and worked in North America, Europe and Africa.

Mr. Gates currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Xirrus. He brings more than 15 years of executive management experience to Xirrus as well as a track record of success evolving a high-tech startup into a world class, publicly traded company. Having founded Xircom, Inc. in 1988 on the premise of delivering Ethernet connectivity to mobile computers, he attracted venture funding from Greylock, grew the company to 2,000 employees, and achieved revenues of $500M and a market cap in excess of $2B.

During his tenure as Chairman and CEO, Mr. Gates led Xircom into the wireless arena through partnerships and acquisitions that positioned the company to deliver mobility solutions based on IEEE 802.11, GPRS and BlueTooth technologies. He subsequently negotiated the sale of Xircom to Intel Corp. in March of 2001.

Mr. Gates holds a BSEE from California State University at Northridge and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
