'Mobile Fun posts 15% sales growth, returns to profit'

UK mobile products online retailer Mobile Fun has posted sales of over
GBP 7 million for the year to 31 March, up 15 percent year-on-year,
with pre-tax profit of more than GBP 500,000, compared a year-earlier
pre-tax loss of GBP 17,000. Mobile Fun attributes its strong sales
growth and return to profit on how it has capitalised on the growing
demand for accessories for new mobile handsets and touchscreen devices
including the iPad, iPhone and Google Android-powered mobile phones.
Figures were also boosted by strong sales growth from the now
profitable German MobileFun.de website, which opened in 2008 and now
manages around 2,000 orders per month. GearZap.com, the company's iPad,
netbook and laptop accessories website experienced a strong first year,
taking over 1,000 orders per month over the Christmas period. Mobile
Fun currently ships to 21 European countries.
