Singtel and HOOQ Significantly Expand Partnership to Provide More On-Demand Content for Singtel Customers


  • All Singtel postpaid mobile, broadband and TV customers to gain free trial access to HOOQ
  • HOOQ to create two new playlist-style on-demand channels for Singtel TV to showcase curated content

SINGAPORE, April 3, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- HOOQ, Asia's largest video-on-demand service, today announced a major expansion of its partnership with Singtel. The multi-million-dollar distribution deal is aimed at bringing HOOQ to even more Singtel customers in Singapore.

As part of the agreement, Singtel postpaid mobile, broadband and TV customers can expect to enjoy a free trial of HOOQ's video-on-demand service for up to six-months. HOOQ will also be bundled with a wide-range of Singtel plans to offer better value to new and re-contracting customers. HOOQ's content library includes Hollywood movies from 90 days of cinema release, with blockbuster hits like Aquaman, available to view on HOOQ now.

With this partnership, HOOQ users on Singtel TV will enjoy two new playlist-style on demand channels. These channels will showcase titles that are curated based on popular themes and genres, to make for easy selection and binge watching. HOOQ users can enjoy both new channels at no extra cost, as well as access to Singtel TV CH 405, where HOOQ is currently hosted. In addition, HOOQ users will gain access to select titles from Singtel's library of popular Chinese-language content.

Besides Hollywood blockbusters, HOOQ users can watch their favourite hit TV series' with same-day telecasts as the United States, as a result of its strong partnerships with studios, production houses and content distributers. So fans of hit shows like DC's The Flash and Supergirl, won't have to wait long before they can watch the latest episodes. HOOQ also offers the best of Asian content from Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and India, and includes popular titles such as Recipe For Love, and Wild And Free, already available to enjoy on HOOQ.
