Mobile Consumers Read Over One Million Comics on Mobile Comics Network

PLEASANTON, Calif, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- FunMail announced today that consumers have read over one million mobile comics on its burgeoning Mobile Comics Network (MCN) service.
"The fact that consumers have read one million comics on their phones is a wonderful and amazing thing," said FunMail CEO Adam Lavine. "This clearly supports FunMail's vision that mobile comics is a viable and important wireless entertainment category, and consumers like the MCN service."
FunMail launched MCN late last year in partnership with major U.S. comics syndicates such as United Media, King Features and Tribune Media Services. Supporting carriers include Verizon Wireless, Sprint PCS, Cingular Wireless, ALLTEL, and U.S. Cellular.
Earlier this month, FunMail announced it had added Peanuts(R) to its lineup of mobile comics. MCN also includes a long list of premium comics, including Dilbert(TM), Beetle Bailey(R), Hagar the Horrible(R), Zits, Baby Blues(R), Broom Hilda(TM), Dick Tracy(R), Mother Goose & Grimm, Bizarro, Nancy(R), and many more.
