AirTrac Develops VoicePDA Platform

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTrac has developed a proprietary interactive voice response system called "VoicePDA Platform" that allows most existing wireless handsets and all landline telephones, including those used by the visually impaired, to send and receive e-mails, access contact phone numbers, place calls, schedule appointments and get real-time stock quotes all while on the move by using natural voice language instructions, and with no modifications to the handset. Clarence Friend, Chief Executive Officer of AirTrac, Inc., said other applications include accessing databases, checking inventories, and placing and tracking sales orders while away from the office. These VoicePDA features can also be changed from communicating in English to Spanish "on-the-fly" simply by saying "switch to English or Spanish", without making a new phone call.
"I have never received a voice e-mail before," said a local business reporter. AirTrac's VoicePDA service can be added starting at less than $20.00 per month, a very competitive offering compared to manual text PDA's, where wireless service can start at $30.00 and run as high as $45.00 per month, plus the cost of the manual PDA that is priced around $800.00 retail.
Plus it avoids "Carpal Tunnel Syndrome", a problem that affects almost 2.8 million people and accounts for nearly half of all work-related illnesses. Friend notes that a class action lawsuit has been reported to be filed by 300,000 users of manual text PDA's where typing with thumbs on small keyboards has been linked to the condition.
AirTrac is discussing its technology with Washington, D.C. area companies and Homeland Security. Technical personnel at Homeland Security are reviewing AirTrac's VoicePDA. AirTrac has also signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with a major wireless carrier after demonstrating AirTrac's VoicePDA services to the carrier's executives.
AirTrac has also signed a marketing agreement with FRANTECH a firm experienced in licensing U.S. technology in China's wireless market.
Founded in April 1998, AirTrac is a diversified company providing comprehensive state-of-the-art services and cutting-edge technology for telecommunication and internet providers. AirTrac also provides enhanced services with a patented real-time on-demand wireless and internet billing system. For more information, please visit http://www.airtrac.com/ or call (949) 252-0100.
