Made2Manage Systems Hires Steve Bailey as Chief Technology Officer; Bailey's Entrance Accompanied by Organization of Company to Business Unit Model

INDIANAPOLIS --(Business Wire)-- Feb. 27, 2006 -- Made2Manage Systems Inc., the leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and a broad range of services for manufacturers, today announced that Steve Bailey, former director of architecture for 20th Century Fox and former vice president of software development for BondNet Trading Systems, has joined the executive team as chief technology officer. As Made2Manage Systems continues to acquire industry-specific ERP companies, such as the company's recent acquisition of AXIS Computer Systems Inc., Bailey is charged with implementing a multi-product development process and managing the delivery of future releases of all product lines.

Bailey's addition is accompanied by the organization of Made2Manage Systems into a business unit model. Led by a general manager, each business unit will work with Bailey and his development team to maintain and enhance an industry-specific ERP software solution. As previously announced, Mehul Dave and Janna Hoiberg are the general managers, respectively, of Made2Manage Systems' Cimnet (ERP for printed circuit board manufacturers) and AXIS (ERP for metals, wire and cable manufacturers) business units. Scott Malia and Perry Williams were recently named the general managers of the Made2Manage (ERP for general manufacturing) and DTR (ERP for plastics processors) business units, respectively.

"Bringing Steve on board in conjunction with the new business unit model is a testament to our focus on customers," said Tom Millay, who was recently promoted to vice president of industry solutions for Made2Manage Systems. "Steve is a specialist in information technology processes and has extensive experience in software development. He's joined our team to take our product lines to the next level, and customers are going to notice."

Millay, along with his staff of general managers, is now responsible for the strategic growth of all industry-focused business units.

Hailing from Elkhart, Ind., Bailey holds a master's degree in molecular biology from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor's degree in microbiology from Purdue University. A published author and U.S. patent holder, Bailey has experience in both software development and the design of business operations to support software development. Most recently, Bailey designed the 24/7 operational processes for the No. 1 automotive Web site on the Internet, www.toyota.com, and, prior to that, the software development processes for a Siemens software factory unit. Throughout his career, Bailey has served in technical management positions at several Fortune 500 companies, holding responsibility for software design, consulting, and global IT infrastructure growth.

"We're thrilled to have someone of Steve's caliber join our team to spearhead the technology direction of our growing company," said Jeff Tognoni, CEO of Made2Manage Systems. "Our strategy is to move the Made2Manage Systems product line to a state-of-the-art service-oriented architecture, and Steve, as one of the leading architects in software, is just the guy to do it."

"Made2Manage Systems has a well-built strategy and a strong management team--that's the kind of foundation my staff and I need to make a powerful impact on the entire product line," said Bailey.
