Lancaster New Era, Pa., business people column

(Lancaster New Era (PA) (KRT) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Jun. 23--Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex has named Heather Sheehan director of food and beverage.

Sheehan, of Elizabethtown, has been employed by Dutch Wonderland owner Hershey Entertainment & Resorts since 1996. Most recently, she was food and beverage manager for the company's Hershey Lodge.

She attended Lebanon Valley College.

Tabor Community Services has promoted Kay Moshier McDivitt, Phyliss A. Stacks and Stephen J. Welch to vice president and has named five new members to its board of directors.

McDivitt, of New Danville, was promoted to vice president of programs. She joined Tabor in 1997, most recently working as director of programs. She has bachelor's degrees in social work and sociology from Eastern Mennonite University.

Stacks, of Rohrerstown, has been promoted to vice president for development. She joined Tabor in 2001, most recently working as director of development. She attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing.

Welch, of Lititz, has been promoted to vice president for finance and operations. He joined Tabor in 2000, most recently working as director of finance. He is a UCLA graduate.

The new board members are Carlos Graupera, executive director of SACA; Earl Martin, president of Power Pro; Shelia Murray-Hargrove, Lancaster city laboratory technician and Lancaster Council of Neighborhoods president; Anne Shannon, News 8 anchor; and Christine Wiker, vice president of marketing at BC-USA.

York-based Counsel Trust Co. and its affiliate, ECA Investment Group, have added Geoffrey M. Platt as a principal, to oversee the firms' expansion into Lancaster County.

Platt, of Leola, previously worked for Sterling Financial Trust Co. as vice president and senior financial adviser in the wealth management group.

A certified employee benefit specialist and certified trust financial adviser, Platt is a Penn State University graduate.

The Securus Group has formed a human focus division, specializing in employee development, change management, team building, skill assessment, legal compliance, and recruiting and hiring.

Leading the new division will be Ann Garman, who has been hired as director of business development, and Tammi Miller, who has been promoted to director of service and support.

Garman, of Lancaster, has 20 years of human resources experience. She previously was employed as vice president of human resources for Super-Dog Pet Food Co. Garman attended Penn State's Lancaster Center. Miller, of Lancaster, joined Securus in 1997. The Millersville University graduate most recently was an account executive in the employee benefits division.

Engle-Hambright & Davies Inc. has promoted Joseph C. Harriger to vice president for the Lancaster property and casualty division. Harriger, of Lancaster, joined EHD 14 years ago, most recently serving as assistant vice president. He is a graduate of Hempfield High School and Elizabethtown College.

Union National Community Bank has hired Susan E. Davis as senior vice president of its community banking group. Davis, of York, spent the previous 16 years with Wachovia Bank, becoming vice president and retail sales leader. She is a Juniata College graduate.

The Lancaster Area Paralegal Association has elected officers and directors for 2007-08.

Officers are president, Susan J. Miller from Gibbel Kraybill & Hess; vice president, Patricia L. Herr, owner of Outsource Solutions; and treasurer, Denise M. Kreider from Nikolaus & Hohenadel.

Directors are Susan R. Boddy from Gibbel Kraybill & Hess; Kelly L. Brubaker from the law office of Janice Longer; Debra K. Chillas from Barley Snyder; Cindy J. Geib from the law office of David A. Peiffer; Kathleen A. Herr from Blakinger Byler & Thomas; Stefanie J. Martin from Susquehanna Bancshares; Sandra Lee Weekes, retired from Lancaster Laboratories; and Carolyn Woods from Barley Snyder.

Turkey Hill Dairy has promoted Joan Shannon to director of human resources and diversity and Philip Heckert to head of the financial and accounting departments.

Shannon, of Manheim, joined the company 11 years ago. She had been human resources manager since 2001. Shannon is a Wilkes College graduate.

Heckert, of Lititz, continues as controller, his position since joining the company three years ago. He holds a bachelor's degree from Millersville University and an MBA degree from Penn State University.

D&E Communications Inc. has promoted Troy A. Wingenroth to vice president of information technology. Wingenroth, of Lititz, joined D&E in 1997, most recently serving as billing services manager in the information technology department. He is a Shippensburg University graduate.

Lancaster native Grace Blazer has been named program director of WTKK-FM, a talk-radio station in Boston. Blazer spent the past 11 years at WPHT-AM, a talk-radio station in Philadelphia, serving the first five years as executive producer and the last six years as program director.

Blazer, who is relocating to the Boston area, is a University of Pittsburgh graduate.

Community First Fund has hired James D. Beam as its controller.

Beam, of Lancaster, has more than 20 years experience in finance and accounting, most recently as controller at Smucker Co.

A certified public accountant, he is an Elizabethtown College graduate.

GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster-based real estate services firm, has hired Randy Harrison as manager of accounts.

Harrison, of Manheim, most recently worked at Laser Plus as regional sales manager. He is a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School and attended Elizabethtown College.
