Metalink and UR Announce Distribution Agreement to Provide Advanced 802.11n Home Networking Solutions in Europe
YAKUM, Israel, and MILAN, Italy, July 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Metalink Ltd. , a provider of high-performance wireless and wireline broadband communication silicon solutions, and UR Holding, a leading European sales organization for High Tech electronic components and subassemblies for embedded system solutions, today announced that UR was appointed as Metalink's authorized distributor in Europe. UR offers Metalink's cutting edge 802.11n-compliant chipset family to major OEMs and manufacturers across Europe.
The European IPTV market is expected to grow substantially over the next few years, driving increased demand for technologies enabling the distribution of IP content throughout the home. Metalink and UR are working together to address the growing needs of this market, providing innovative solutions for the delivery of high-definition (HD) multimedia and data content over wireless home networks at wireline quality.
