'Fast Europe, Telegrafi partner on m-payments in Kosovo'

(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Telecommunication media company Fast Europe Ventures and Albanian-language internet portal Telegrafi.com have teamed up to introduce a payment service for mobile users in Kosovo. The service enables customers to use their mobile phones as mini-credit cards, and make payments using the available credit on their mobile phone accounts. Since January, Fast Europe Ventures has been closing agreements with operators and partners based in Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia to launch the mobile payment service in the region. The company currently serves 2.8 million mobile subscribers in the Western Balkan region. According to Fast Europe data, spending for m-payments in Europe reaches EUR 30-50 per person on average, with EUR 10 annual spending per person.
