Trapeze Software to acquire Public Transit (PT) solutions business of Continental

Sep 02, 2009 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Constellation Software, Inc., through its subsidiary Trapeze Software, Inc., has entered into an agreement to acquire Public Transit (PT) solutions business of Continental AG, a Germany-based automotive company.

Trapeze Software provides software, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), and mobile technologies in the passenger transportation industry.

PT provides solutions for public urban passenger transport. Following the transaction, PT will be renamed Trapeze ITS.

The transaction is expected to close on September 30, 2009.
