Wavelink Provides Terminal Emulation Software for Motorola's New MC9500 Mobile Computer

Oct 17, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Wavelink Corp. announced that Wavelink Terminal Emulation is the only terminal emulation solution sold and supported by Motorola on the new MC9500 mobile computers.

Wavelink Terminal Emulation, the company noted, will allow customers of Motorola's newest rugged mobile computer to easily extend host system applications to mobile workers, improving their productivity and efficiency. This continues a long-standing relationship between Wavelink and Motorola for interoperability between Motorola devices and Wavelink software.

Lamar Van Wagenen, CEO of Wavelink, said, "Our relationship with Motorola demonstrates our ability to work closely with manufacturers to support the latest devices on the market. Wavelink has the software necessary to support enterprises using the MC9500 improve their business agility and overall productivity." Motorola field mobility solutions provide enterprise mobility, "outside the four walls, providing organizations with real-time access to business-critical information." Wavelink said this provides sales, service and maintenance staff with the tools to increase productivity, reduce downtime and take advantage of every revenue-generating opportunity.

Wavelink Terminal Emulation was selected to be pre-licensed and pre-loaded on a number of Motorola devices, including the MC9090-G and MC3090-G mobile computers, VC5090 vehicle-mount computer and WT4090 wearable computer. Wavelink Terminal Emulation clients for the MC9500 are available for purchase from Motorola.
