Halloween Revelers Going as Big Wig Rod Blagojevich

Chicago, Ill., Oct 30, 2009 (PRNewsChannel.com via COMTEX) -- Got Rod? Not if you're in the business of selling hit Halloween costumes. It turns out Rod Blagojevich's fans are buying up "Illinois Big Wig" hairpieces based on the former Illinois governor's famous coif. At many stores it is second only to Michael Jackson jackets and many costume shops are quickly running out of the big wigs.

"We're almost sold out," says A Magical Mystery Tour store manager Randy Israel. "They ask for the Blago wig." The Morton Grove shop has a few left for $29.99 apiece.

Even a Chicago Sun-Times columnist was outfitted in the wig and full "Rod Zombie" makeup for his visit to the Statesville Haunted Prison in Crest Hill.

Rod Blagojevich hosts a radio show on WLS and recently published his memoir detailing the events following his departure from public office.
