Frost & Sullivan Selects ANDA Networks for Product Differentiation Excellence in Carrier Ethernet Access Honor

Feb 04, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Frost & Sullivan announced it has honored ANDA Networks, a provider of carrier-class fiber and copper-based access platforms for wireless backhaul applications or wireline networks, with its Product Differentiation Excellence, Carrier Ethernet Access award.

Frost & Sullivan said that the award is given in recognition of ANDA's product features and quality, market focus and brand differentiation in comparison with other Carrier Ethernet Switch/Router products in the Carrier Ethernet Access product segment. In particular, the research firm pointed to ANDA's Networks' EtherEdge 4300 mobile backhaul solution's real-time performance monitoring verification and sub-flow monitoring as differentiators in the Carrier Ethernet Access market. ANDA Networks EtherProbe, EtherStream solution, EtherEdge 4300 and its royalty free licensing of EtherEdge 4300 software business model were determined to be differentiators in the Carrier Ethernet Access market.

The Excellence Awards are presented each year by Frost & Sullivan to companies in the communications, mobile & wireless, satellite, digital media, network security, contact center, retail systems, and smart cards industries, which are predicted to encourage significant growth, have identified emerging trends before they became the standard in the marketplace, and have created advanced technologies that will catalyze industries in the near future.

"ANDA Networks has established a strong brand as a Carrier Ethernet access equipment vendor," notes Prayerna Raina, Research Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. "With key customers that are Tier-1 and Tier-2 large carriers, ANDA Networks has demonstrated its ability to successfully manufacture highly differentiated carrier-grade Ethernet access platforms capable of meeting carriers' stringent business Ethernet and mobile backhaul service requirements. The new EtherEdge 4300 is its latest example of continued differentiation, expanding ANDA's product focus to address the new high-growth mobile backhaul space. Frost & Sullivan believes that ANDA Networks has established itself as a Carrier Ethernet equipment vendor that has consistently met service provider requirements with its superior products." "We are pleased that Frost and Sullivan has recognized ANDA's contribution in the Carrier Ethernet market, and recognized that the EtherEdge 4300 plays an innovative role in enabling mobile networks to handle rapid and unpredictable growth of media rich IP-based applications from new smartphone devices," notes Charles R. Kenmore, ANDA Networks President and CEO. "By integrating EtherProbe's real-time performance monitoring verification and EtherStream sub-flow monitoring for dynamic load balancing and quality of service (QoS), the new EtherEdge 4300 enables service providers to offer a consistent high quality of experience (QoE) across all subscribers while simultaneously increasing network visibility, but also decreasing carrier OPEX and CAPEX expenditures."
