ITAMG Announces Launch of its AMS Mobile Data Destruction Unit

PLAINVIEW, N.Y. --(Business Wire)-- IT Asset Management Group announced today the launch of their AMS Mobile Data Destruction unit in response to their clients' demands for onsite data disposition and destruction measures.

The ITAMG Mobile Data Destruction System eliminates the risk of a data breach by completely eliminating the Chain of Custody between an organization and the physical point-of-destruction. The unit was custom designed to physically destroy hard drives, DLT tapes, medical films, cell phones, PDA's, CD's, DVD's, VHS tapes, floppy disks and other assorted e-scrap. In addition to onsite shredding, IT Asset Management Group can now perform onsite, the same suite of data destruction methods offered at their Long Island Headquarters.

ITAMG manages data destruction projects of all scopes and employs standard data destruction methods in accordance with the DoD 5220.22-M. Each drive received by ITAMG is processed for complete data destruction. At minimum, all drives are overwritten with a multi-pass software wipe. Where it is vital that the drive be rendered useless, a degaussing procedure is utilized. These methods can be used alone or in conjunction with the shredding solution. ITAMG does not capture, recapture, or market data on any media that it processes.
