'Sungard buys Irish web hosting provider Hosting365'

Mar 16, 2010 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Irish cloud computing and data centre services provider 365 Hosting, which trades as Hosting365, has been acquired for an undisclosed sum by SunGard Availability Services. Hosting365 as been providing hosted services since 2001 and operates from two secure data centres in the Dublin area. Keith Tilley, managing director UK and executive vice president Europe for SunGard Availability Services, said the deal gave Sungard access to a new geographic market and proven cloud computing expertise. The deal will also allow Hosting365 to expand its product range with Sungard's own managed IT services, business continuity and disaster recovery services.
