BRIEF: Chef offers class at Desert Wind Winery

PROSSER, May 26, 2010 (Tri-City Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- On June 3, Chef Frank Magana of Picazo 7Seventeen in Prosser will offer a spring-themed cooking class at Desert Wind Winery. On the menu: spinach and strawberry salad with feta; merlot-braised pork shank with Chuckar Cherry chipotle demi glace served with asparagus risotto and grilled seasonal vegetables and blackberry creme brulee.

The class runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and costs $45 per person. Two glasses of wine and tasting portions of all items prepared during class are included.
