Cisco and Multiven settle antitrust dispute

Aug 03, 2010 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Multiven Inc, a provider of network infrastructure technical support, today announced that it has reached an agreement with networking company Cisco Systems Inc (Nasdaq:CSCO) to settle Multiven's antitrust lawsuit which was filed on 1 December 2008.

The suit alleged that Cisco had harmed Multiven and consumers by bundling and tying software bug fixes, patches and updates for its operating system and application software to Cisco's maintenance services, SMARTnet.

The terms of the settlement agreement, dated 19 July 2010, remain confidential. The settlement resolves the Multiven antitrust lawsuit and all Cisco counterclaims against Multiven, Pingsta and Peter Alfred-Adekeye have also been dismissed.
