Roseware Launches iPhone App iSit, First Meditation App to Play Podcasts and Music from iPod Library

Aug 23, 2010 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- Features include: Simple and elegant user interface Play any podcast or audio file from iPod library while meditating Use presets to create a variety of sessions Built-in ambient sounds of nature (ocean, forest, rain & thunder) Countdown, meditation and interval timers 10 different sounds to choose from for start, ending or interval bells 20 different background screens "In the last 4 years my meditation practice has become an important part of my life," says Roseware founder Charles Rose. "When envisioning Roseware's first iPhone app, I wanted a tool that would be useful for daily sitting. I discovered that there are literally thousands of free podcasts available for every conceivable religion and spiritual practice and incorporating them into a sit, complete with timers and bells would make for a useful and powerful companion. Of course sometimes you want to listen to inspirational music, or a guided meditation that you purchased on iTunes. If you can listen to it on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, you can meditate to it with iSit.

Sometimes, you may want to listen to sounds of nature, so we included several ambient sound tracks to sit to. Finally, you may want different kinds of sits, some silent, some with music, some with talks, so we have the ability to create presets to accommodate your different moods. We are excited about iSit and hope people will try it out and let us know if there are features they might want to see." The application will be available for $1.99 on the Apple App Store and will be compatible with iPhone and iPod touch. Requires iPhone OS 3.1.2 or later.
