Intel and Adobe Feature Digital Keystone Maelstrom Distributed Gateway Solution at IBC

Sep 16, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Digital Keystone, a developer of secure content delivery solutions and offerings, showcased its recently-announced Maelstrom distributed gateway to industry executives at the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam.

Maelstrom enables branded TV content for the entire digital home, including TV, PC, and mobile devices. The Maelstrom demonstration highlights integration with the Adobe Flash Access software and support for live TV across multiple platforms.

Digital Keystone's Maelstrom consists of a Maelstrom-enabled gateway and a Maelstrom-enabled synchronization server. Broadcast services are converted to the native format of each connected device, without downloading any plug-ins, installing any applications, or configuring any custom code. The network operator can customize and control their service offerings, including search, recommendations, advertising and promotions, for a richer, friendlier viewer experience.

Adobe Flash Access software is a content protection and monetization solution that lets content owners, distributors, and advertisers realize new sources of revenue by providing seamless access to premium content. Flash Access supports a range of business models, including video on demand, rental and electronic sell-through.
