Quarri and Stoneware Deliver Secure Browser Sessions To Endpoint Devices

AUSTIN, Texas --(Business Wire)--

Quarri™ Technologies, a leading web information security software company that empowers organizations to keep their sensitive data secure, today announced a strategic partnership with Stoneware, a Lenovo (News - Alert) company, to resell Quarri's products. Quarri's secure browser technology provides Stoneware customers with the ability to protect sensitive data delivered through the cloud to endpoint devices like PCs, laptops and mobile devices.

According to a Palo Alto (News - Alert) report, 90% of unknown malware was delivered via web-browsing.1 Stoneware enables its customers to login from any device, anywhere, however, some of those devices may contain latent malware waiting to attack the device and the enterprise. Through this partnership, Stoneware customers will now have secure browser sessions sent to endpoint devices on the fly to protect users from attacks, regardless of whose device it is and where it's located.

"With the emergence of cloud technology and increasing use of web applications, the browser has become the new IT security risk and is increasingly under attack from cyber criminals because private data delivered in the browser can be very valuable," said Bill Morrow, CEO and executive chairman at Quarri. "Having industry titans like Stoneware and Lenovo recognize the problem and move with Quarri into the secure browser business is good for customers. It helps let people know about the seriousness of the problem and that Quarri's technology secures the IT perimeter all the way to the end user."

"Stoneware is excited about partnering with Quarri to deliver secure browser sessions to endpoints," said Rick German, CEO at Stoneware, Inc. "As more and more organizations move to cloud, securing web sessions and data at the point of use, on the endpoint, is critical. Quarri enables us to protect our customer's most valuable data in an easy-to-deploy manner."

Through Stoneware's licenses serving over 10,000,000 endpoints in the commercial and education markets, the company will introduce an enhanced version of its software that features Quarri. Stoneware will sell Quarri products as an add-on to Stoneware's webNetwork software.

Quarri's patented web information security solutions enable organizations to address a variety of challenging security issues, including external and internal data threats, and unauthorized use and replication of confidential data.
