2014 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting to Explore Charting Course to a New Energy Future
PISCATAWAY, N.J. --(Business Wire)--
The IEEE (News - Alert) Power & Energy Society (PES) today announced its annual General
Meeting is being held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention
Center, National Harbor, Md., 27-31 July 2014. The 2014 IEEE PES General
Meeting will bring together practicing power engineers and academics who
will present and discuss the key challenges and opportunities in the
electric power industry. More than 3,000 professionals from around the
world will participate in the conference and attend diverse super
sessions and plenary presentations.

IEEE PES at its 2014 General Meeting will provide a forum for
experts to share information and best practices related to cyber
and physical security, natural disaster preparedness, grid
operations and smart grid projects.

The theme of the meeting is "Charting the Course to a New Energy
Future." The IEEE PES General Meeting will feature insightful
super sessions, plenary presentations, technical programs,
tutorials, standards development activities, technical tours and
student programs.
