ATM Poland Deploys Patton SS7 Gateways for Business Voice Services

Patton Electronics-US-manufacturer of award-winning SmartNode™ VoIP solutions, CopperLink™ Ethernet Extenders, and BODI rS™ High Availability Fixed & Mobile Internet Routers-announced today that Polish carrier and datacenter operator ATM S.A.-a leader in Poland's data-center market-has installed Patton's (News - Alert) SS7 gateways to deliver new carrier-class business voice services to existing and potential customers.

Delivering services under the ATMAN brand, ATM has deployed Patton's carrier-grade SmartNode SN10300 VoIP+TDM gateways as critical infrastructure for its ATMAN ISDN and ATMAN VoIP services for business.

Supporting multiple signaling protocols, the SN10300 SS7 gateway enables ATM to provide a rich variety of business communications services-from ISDN telephony to Voice-over-IP (VoIP), SIP trunking, and Unified Communications (UC)-all over their own integrated network.

"Reliable, high-availability infrastructure is essential for independent network operators," said Marcin Adamczyk, ATM's Chief of Voice Services. "Patton's SN10300 N+1 back-up solution offers ideal configuration options for our stringent up-time requirements."

Providing flexible N+1 redundancy options, Patton's SN10300 solution offers network architecture with no single point of failure.

The SN10300 eliminates costly Media Gateway (News - Alert) Controller (MGC) requirements by simultaneously supporting SS7, ISDN and SIP signaling in a single device. The simplified network architecture lowers operation and maintenance costs as well as capital equipment expense.

The ATMAN business voice system, designed by ADESCOM, depends on seamless interoperability between the SN10300 and the CTM (News - Alert) Class-5 Softswitch.

ADESCOM's Jacek Jamicki remarked, "The SN10300's open architecture and Ruby scripting made interworking tasks simpler and faster. Patton's call capacity is twice that of the nearest competitor, so ATM can deliver high-performance service for call-center and robo-call applications."

Supporting over 3,900 concurrent VoIP calls, the SN10300 delivers up to 750 Call Completions per Second (CCPS).

"Vendor personnel were also a deciding factor," Mr. Adamczyk added. "We wanted a company we could trust. Patton's people have been exceptionally responsive! Patton's premium support service is stellar!"

Patton delivers Gold-Standard Free Support with every product sold.

Addressing the high-end service requirements of Telecom carriers, Patton's platinum-level Premium Support and platinum-plus Premium 24/7 Support provide guaranteed resolution times with evening and weekend service.

"We are constantly growing," Adamczyk concluded. "Our business subscriber base increases daily. We expect to deploy additional SN10300 gateways early this year."
