Sparx Systems Renews Annual Sponsorship with Object Management Group

The Object Management Group® (OMG®), an international, open membership, not-for-profit technology standards consortium, is pleased to announce that Sparx Systems is continuing its support of OMG as a Gold sponsor. As a global software company and vendor of the agile, collaborative visual modeling platform Enterprise Architect, Sparx Systems (News - Alert) has been an annual sponsor of OMG since 2007 and has been actively involved in OMG for more than 10 years.

In addition, Sparx Systems is also a Contributing member of the OMG and a member of its Board of Directors. The company supports many OMG standards, including Unified Modeling Language™ (UML®), Systems Modeling Language (SysML®), Common Object Request Broker Architecture™ (CORBA®), Model Driven Architecture®, Business Process Model And Notation™, Data-Distribution Service™ and its enterprise architecture framework UML Profile for DoDAF/MODAF™ (UPDM™).

According to Geoff Sparks, CEO of Sparx Systems, "We value our long-term commitment to OMG because it is one of the most successful forums in the computer industry to create open integration standards for modeling platforms. Our membership pays dividends because it keeps us ahead of our competitors in the modeling space which aligns with our customers' ability to model every stage of the planning and development process, so that they can plan for the future and make decisions that are more strategic to their businesses."

Dr. Richard Soley, OMG Chairman and CEO said, "Sparx Systems has always been a driving force in model-driven development. Its innovative tools are based on OMG's UML and related specifications. We look forward to Sparx's continued influence and expertise in model-driven development based on open standards."
