SkyCross announced the appointment of Dr.Bami Bastani, Ph.D to its Board of Directors. SkyCross specializes in the development and manufacture of advanced antenna and RF solutions required in 4G networks.
Dr. Bastani is the chairman and CEO of B2 Global Consulting, LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in corporate transformation. Dr. Bastani is well experienced in leading high-growth, multinational communications businesses.
In a release Ben Naskar, SkyCross Inc., chairman and CEO said, “SkyCross is privileged to welcome Dr. Bastani, a significantly experienced leader with extensive knowledge of the communications device sector, to the board of directors.”
He added that Bastani’s familiarity with the customers and international markets that SkyCross serves will be very valuable to SkyCross as it focuses on accelerating the growth of its business.
Dr. Bastani served as president and CEO of ANADIGICS, Inc. from 1998 to 2008. He propelled the company to become a recognized innovator in semiconductor RF solutions for the wireless and broadband communications equipment markets. Within a three-year period from 2005 to mid-2008, ANADIGICS reported 13 consecutive quarters of growth at 38 percent CAGR, making remarkable progress in cash flow and profitability.
From 1996 to 1998, Dr. Bastani was executive vice president of Fujitsu Microelectronics, where he led the Systems LSI Group, including ASIC System-On-Chip, Local Area Networks, Spark processors, and RFICs. These were all major business units responsible for developing semiconductor products for the U.S. market.
Dr. Bastani is also a director of Nitronex Corporation (RF semiconductors), CorMedix, Inc. (pharmaceuticals), and VSSB Medical Nanotechnology, Inc. (nano-sensors and wireless medical diagnostics). He is also present on the advisory boards of Petra Solar, Inc. (solar and smart grid technology) and SiTune Corporation (CMOS tuner products).
Commenting on his joining the Board of Directors of SkyCross Dr. Bastani said, “SkyCross is an innovative company in RF and antenna technology for 4G networks and has growing traction from global network operators and OEMs. I am pleased to contribute my experience to the strong board and management team at SkyCross.”
