James Israel to Head Acision's Operations in North America

Mobile messaging solutions company Acision has appointed James Israel as senior vice president and general manager for North America.

Israel, a former executive at Ericsson, has been working with Acision since 2011 as vice president of sales for North America. He has expertise in the communications industry in areas including product management, sales and services.

In his new role, Israel will be responsible for strengthening the company’s presence and growth in the region by driving business development and sales.

“James takes on this leadership role at a crucial time for Acision, as we make important strides in building on our market leading position and shaping our expertise in IP / LTE messaging,” said Jorgen Nilsson, chief executive at Acision, in a statement.

“His exceptional market knowledge and industry relationships, combined with a wealth of technical, operational and business development experience, will significantly benefit our business as we grow across the region and continue to deliver on our core infrastructure and enterprise messaging strategy – which helps bridge the mobile and digital divide,” Nilsson added.

Israel has spent 13 years of career at Ericsson during which he held a number executive positions across multiple global markets, including assignments in the US, UK, Canada and Sweden. Israel was responsible for launching new operations to consulting on change management and growing existing businesses.

“The people, products and technology that have established Acision as the driving force in mobile messaging will enable us to realize new opportunities in an evolving mobile ecosystem. I’m excited to contribute my experience and expertise to this effort, as we enhance our position in the messaging market while moving into the IP and converged messaging space,” Israel added.

Earlier this year, Acision announced partnership with Soli, a mobile marketing channel, to create a new media model offering global corporations a broad connection to consumers through messaging.
