A global provider of mobile messaging, call completion and advertising solutions, Jinny Software has just joined with a major Latin American operator to connect GSM, CDMA and 3G networks.
Jinny was perfect for the job, as the firm is a source of all three mobile networks.
Through the new contract, the company will be able to provide enhanced and speedier messaging services to its customers – regardless of which area of coverage they happen to fall under.
Aimed at prepaid services, this solution will connectviaDiameter to allow for simple online charging.
Jinny’s Messaging Gateway connects to any national operator through SMPP to provide SMS services through CDMA, GSM and 3G networks in accordance to specific telecom regulations.
“We are delighted to be able to provide a complete messaging solution to manage a multi-technology network interconnection,” said Fintan Supple, Vice President of Sales at Jinny Software. “We look forward to strengthening our relationship with this new customer during the project phase and beyond. It is a complete replacement of a competitor’s product, which is a significant accomplishment for us and also proves our commitment to growth in Latin America.”
With the limited availability of 3G connectivity in so many areas, it’s essential that cell phone users have the support of some kind of network where a 3G connection isn’t accessible – whether they do a lot of traveling or just live outside of the coverage area.
GSM networks might be considered painfully slow compared to the blazing fast 3G and LTE networks that we’ve been introduced to over the past two or three years, but they still get the job done when all else fails.
This partnership will make for a pretty convenient overhaul to the mobile infrastructure of Latin America – it will definitely enhance the nation’s prepaid services, to say the least.
