ADTRAN Unveils BYOD Network Suite Solution

With the proliferation of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) phenomenon across all segments of business and organizations, the need to handle and manage all these Wi-Fi enabled devices has demanded a solution. ADTRAN, a provider of cloud and virtual mobility and connectivity solutions to enterprises, has come up with a solution for its clients by introducing its BYOD Network Suite for SMBs, large enterprises and educational institutions.

Organizations and enterprises have seen the many advantages that come with bringing your own device to the workplace and must therefore scale to accommodate the rising trend. Some of the benefits of this phenomenon include low support and upgrade costs, no upfront investments, access to the latest technology and higher user satisfaction. Even with all these benefits, some fundamental issues with BYOD still have to be resolved for an enterprise’s network to accommodate the trend. Networks must scale to accommodate high bandwidth applications usage by these devices.

ADTRAN’s solution combines Ethernet routers and switches with cloud-based, virtualized solutions to help scale wireless LANs that have seen increasing traffic. It is estimated that by 2015, over 50 percent of all business mobile devices will be employee-owned rather than corporation-owned positioning ADTRAN’s solution for the future. ADTRAN’s BYOD Network Suite helps IT managers address key issues that includes scalable wireless LANs, unified management of users, enhanced wired LAN infrastructures and centralized network security.

According to the President of Proxurve Solutions Inc., a technology consulting company, Troy Holwerda, “The rise of BYOD in every market segment we cover has been a tremendous growth engine for us as our customers look to scale their wireless LAN infrastructure to accommodate the rise in smart phone, tablet and other Wi-Fi-enabled devices on their networks. ADTRAN’s BYOD Network Suite gives us a clear advantage as we address opportunities today and as the market continues to develop.”

Ted Cole, ADTRAN’s VP of Channel Sales added, “ADTRAN’s BYOD Network Suite attractiveness is in bridging the “gap between wireless and wired access to create one seamless network that is easily managed, maintained and expanded – an advantage that cannot be delivered by any other vendor in the market today.”
