MRV Brings Expertise, Experience to ITEXPO

When the hottest industry events are taking place, innovators know they need to be on hand to talk with key customers, potential partners and even the competition. MRV Communications, a provider of optical communications network infrastructure equipment and managed services, plans to make itself seen and heard at all key events, including this week’s ITEXPO West in Austin, Texas.

MRV executives will be on hand at ITEXPO to share their expertise and knowledge on the wide array of topics that affects the industry, including wireless backhaul, 4G/LTE, data centers, cloud computing and even insight into current and future technologies, according to a recent statement.

The event also provides an excellent forum for industry players to connect and develop new and profitable partnerships.

According to Zeev Draer, VP of strategic marketing for MRV’s Optimal Communications Systems, taking part in such innovative events allows the company to pull from its 20 years of experience to provide valuable insight on developments and trends that can affect the telecommunications industry as a whole.

Through its multiple business units, MRV provides optimal communications network infrastructure equipment and services to a wide array of multinational telecommunications operations, MSOs, local municipalities, corporate and consumer high-speed service providers, and provides delivering cloud computing and data storage.

The company also delivers integrated network management, network integration services expertise and cost-effective equipment to meet the dynamic needs within a constantly evolving industry.

MRV’s experience can lend considerable credit and value to ITEXPO, given that its WDM solutions are utilized in rural regions and other locales. With the growing demand for broadband solutions throughout the U.S., and a call to reach the underserved, MRV’s solutions are bridging the gap for those who still don’t have access to high-speed or mobile solutions.

The company focuses heavily on rural areas, including rural municipalities, rural telcos and even third-party builders focused on building out fiber networks to cell towers, campuses and business parks throughout the nation. And as MRV leaders have stated, people need the necessary infrastructure to come close to them so they can have access to the high bandwidth applications so heavily in demand.

Excellence in innovation appears to also be an important focus for MRV. The company’s OptiSwitch, according to a TMC report, was recently named as a finalist for the Best Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Product at the 2012 Carrier Ethernet EMEA Awards. OptiSwitch, a series of intelligent demarcation devices, enables service providers, wireless and wireline carriers to deliver Carrier Ethernet 2.0 end-to-end services in robust and scalable solutions.

This Friday, Mannix O’Connor, director of Technical Marketing, will speak at the Mobility Tech Conference, collocated with ITEXPO West. The session is scheduled for 10 a.m. CDT, and will focus on the technologies and economics necessary to overcome the limitations in spectrum for cellular networks.

O’Connor will focus on base station technology topology and QoS for the access and RAN network.
