PingTone Launches MobileLink App

Virginia- based PingTone has recently launched MobileLink App for smartphones. The changing communication exchange scenario has forced companies to strategize for the future to stay competitive in the markets.

PingTone Communications, a hosted VoIP service provider, is helping employers extend their corporate identities to the smartphones of their employees. The workforce, which was mostly out of office and mobile, can now be monitored with the help of MobileLink.

MobileLink also helps users extend the business lines on their smartphones. The app makes it possible for users to make and receive calls by using their business identity on their smartphones. MobileLink app is available in Android and iPhone application stores for free.

As the corporate environment is changing by the day, companies are opting for the BYOD, Bring Your Own Device, option in offices globally. It is becoming more and more difficult to keep track of employees’ interactions with clients. Employers want more control on company owned phone numbers in order to manage client relationships better.

The MobileLink App extends the company’s professional presence on employees’ smartphones without compromising the security of the organizations. The call activity can be better monitored and both corporate and personal directories can be easily accessed by the employer. Call activity can be monitored with MobileLink almost like the desk phones.

“During the infancy of the teleworking revolution, many managers were rightfully skeptical that employees who did not physically come into an office could not be as efficient as the worker sitting at his desk,” said John Adams, vice-president of Sales with PingTone. “They didn’t want their employees communicating with clients over a home land line or personal cell phone, making it difficult to track activity and keep tabs on employee communications. But as evidenced by new applications like MobileLink, it’s important to realize that just because a team is dispersed geographically doesn’t mean a manager can’t demand accountability.”

PingTone focuses on delivering the competitive advantage of VoIP without burdening companies with large capital investments on staff and equipment.
