Tata Elxsi Announces LTE eNB and UE Solutions

Leading design and solutions provider for broadband wireless, Tata Elxsi, part of the $100 billion Tata Group, announced on February 21 the availability of LTE eNB and UE solutions, including LTE Layer 2/3 and Layer1 software optimized for industry-leading silicone platforms. It acts as a ready reference solution on COTS platforms to allow customization solutions for markets including TV White Space, public safety, defense, and utility. The solution is compliant to Release 9/10 specifications and combines additional features to approach specific use cases for those markets.

Vice president of Wireless BU, Tata Elxsi, Prakash Satyanarayan said, “OEMs and ODMs addressing these markets will benefit from access to a feature-rich LTE eNB and UE software on the same hardware platform. Tata Elxsi's LTE software architecture offers scalability and flexibility to address these evolving markets and product specifications."

Tata Elxs’s WiMAX base station and CPE solutions have been customized on the same hardware platforms in order to fit with the future 802.22 standards for Wireless Rural Access Networks (WRAN) products, which will allow customers flexibility in choosing either LTE or 802.2-based technology for WRAN’s.

Tata Elxsi’s solution is given in source code so that customers may customize to their specific operator requirements or leverage Tata Elxsi engineering support and professional service, inclusive of IOT, rollout support, and engineering for market-specific needs such as spectrum sensing and management, data-off loading and intelligent relays.

The new solution will be demonstrated in Hall 6, Stand 6G126 come the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
