Ultra Mobile Announced Recent Milestones in Progress Update

Ultra Mobile, a wireless phone and mobile money platform for frequent international callers, announced the release of its update on progress in building a brand with immigrant communities in the U.S. since its launch in October of 2012. The company is the only one in the world that offers monthly unlimited voice, text and data plans that include up to 2,000 minutes of international call time and free international texting with no excessive use policy.

"Customers in the U.S. with family and friends in more than 200 countries have ‘made their life Ultra,’ by subscribing to our plans and connecting with their loved ones abroad for less money and with no hassles,” David Glickman, CEO of Ultra Mobile, said in a statement. “We have listened to our customers, retailers, and agents and quickly adapted our plans to meet their needs. Our growth figures show we are succeeding.”

The company also announced a 350% growth in average daily international calling since the start of the year, and has spread the availability of its plans to over 200 countries across the world. Ultra Mobile has also expanded distribution to over 70,000 locations nationwide

“The response to our international offerings has been overwhelming and the feedback from customers who are now closer than ever to loved ones abroad is heartwarming,” said Glickman. “These factors keep us motivated to continue innovating and sweetening our services.”

Ultra concluded with news of the company’s plans for the future, with plans of an upcoming launch of a flexible usage plan that integrates PAYGO elements.

Based in New York and Los Angeles, Ultra Mobile develops wireless phones and mobile money solutions to improve the quality of life for its customers. The company sold more than 400,000 SIM cards through stores around the country prior to launch.
