Even though Samsung has its own line of products, the company also supplies components to other companies and sometimes, even manufactures the product. Such is the case between Samsung and Google. If leaked information is correct, then Samsung and Google will once again be working together.
There is that work again, “leaked!” According to SamMobile blog, who seems to have a better than average track record when it comes to Google leaks, it reported on April 29, 2013 that we may be seeing a Nexus 11 very soon.
It looks like the Nexus 11 will appear on Samsung’s 2013 tablet roadmap. Samsung is waiting to get the final approval from Google before it can do anything. All leaks and rumors say that Google will announce the new Nexus 11 tablet next month. Google’s I/O developers conference does seem to be the likeliest forum for this announcement.
If you were thinking about buying the existing Nexus 10, you may want to wait a few months. The next version is rumored to be the first octa-core tablet on the market. It will run on Samsung’s eight core Exynos 5410 chip. Four processors are cutting edge Cortex-A15 cores, which will handle the heavy duty activities. The remaining four will be Cortex-A7 cores that are designed to offload lighter tasks, saving on power consumption.
As is usually the case with leaked information, there are not many other details out there at this time. However, something we do know is that one of the other features that are supposed to make up the Nexus 11 is an 11-inch screen. It will be an 11-inch Super PLS TFT display. You will also probably see an eight megapixel rear camera, as well as a two megapixel front camera designed for video chatting and a MicroSD slot. These features will support up 64 GB of extra memory. The entire package will run on Google’s Android 4.3, instead of Android 5 Key Lime Pie.
