More Wireless Devices will be Supported by USAT, Verizon Partnership

USAT Corp. is a company that implements wireless communication solutions for data acquisition. According to USAT Corp., they provide, configure and deploy durable, field-tested intelligent network devices that best fit the business requirements and budget of a wireless connectivity initiative.

USAT is a distributor of top-tier cellular modems, gateways, routers and ruggedized managed and unmanaged switches designed for critical infrastructure applications. In addition to cellular devices, USAT also supplies, configures and installs monitoring equipment.

On May 6, 2013, USAT announced that it has become a Verizon Wireless Vertical Solutions Provider (VSP). A VSP is a company that focuses on delivering industry specific application hosting services to customers in a specific vertical market. This can be manufacturing, healthcare or financial services. Verizon can take advantage of USAT’s Internet technologies and applications without having to acquire the knowhow and other resources on its own.

Because of this, USAT can deliver a streamlined tactic for deploying as well as supporting standalone 2G, 3G EVDO and 4G LTE Verizon Wireless network devices. Intelligent cellular modems, as they are called, provide machine-to-machine (M2M) wireless data communications. M2M is used for distribution automation, industrial automation, wireless vending, video surveillance and intelligent transportation systems.

USAT president Beverly McRae commented, "For clients looking to control and monitor remote assets, transact point-of-sales events or enable business continuity strategies using a world-class wireless network, USAT Corp. is the go-to company that can deliver the streamlined solution."

Express M2M is a solution that is provided by USAT. This can be used to shorten the time to intelligent cellular modem deployment. This, in turn, leads to wireless data projects moving into the production phase more efficiently, having fewer issues.

Another benefit of Express M2M is that it can give clients access to post-sales support for various wireless WAN (WWAN) devices. The support can come in the form of a warm spare pool for select M2M modems. They can be made available to quickly address the problem of a modem being down. This ensures that the company will have maximum up time.

Verizon wireless M2M specialist for the South East, Bryan Starks, said, "By selecting USAT Corp., Verizon Wireless, the leading network for M2M communications, shows our commitment to being the network that makes implementing wireless M2M communications more streamlined for our clients."
