C Spire Deploys Openwave's Promotion and Pricing Innovation

Privately held wireless communications provider C Spire Wireless recently implemented Openwave Mobility's Promotion and Pricing Innovation (PPI) mobile data charging solution to support its new CHOICE and SHARED data plan offerings. These plans are meant to provide a level of flexibility, control and value not often found in the U.S. wireless market.

For example, C Spire's CHOICE plans allow both prepaid and postpaid customers to purchase passes for premium data services — for example, video streaming and tethering — as needed by way of an "intuitive in-line subscription experience." In other words, CHOICE plans allow customers to pay only for what they need, when they need it, supported by the ability to monitor usage in real time.

The provider's SHARED plans, meanwhile, allow customers to select varying data quotas which can be shared among multiple subscribers and devices. These plans offer a wide range of options for customers to choose from to meet their needs as compared to similar offerings.

As with C Spire's CHOICE plans, SHARED plans are supported by PPI's real-time end-user engagement interface, which enables real-time data monitoring, notifications when subscribers meet their monthly data threshold, and the ability to purchase a Top-Up pass at any time.

Openwave Mobility's PPI solution can be combined with its Mobile Analytics solution, allowing operators to engage even more deeply with subscribers through mission critical mobile data analysis functionality and greater ease of use. Furthermore, Mobile Analytics can be delivered as a cloud-hosted solution or on-site and also supports deployment in a virtualized environment.
