FL Mobile Scores on Global iOS Game Charts with 'Gods and Dragons'

Chinese telecom service NQ Mobile, a provider of mobile Internet solutions across China and other countries, announced on July 30 that its subsidiary Beijing Feiliu Jiutian Technology Co. has become the main content provider for China Mobile’s Game Center App Store.

Beijing Feiliu Jiutian Technology Co., better known as FL Mobile, is one of the top game platforms in China this year, with four titles in the top 10 games sold in the iOS market for 2013. The most current title they have out is “Gods and Dragons,” which only recently cracked the top 10. Other titles the company has out now are “Fight Three Kingdoms,” “Gun and Blade,” and “War Flame Online,” which are all in a similar vein to “Gods and Dragons.”

Why this is a smart business decision for FL’s parent company NQ Mobile and China Mobile is simply a question of scale. Currently, FL Mobile’s user base has about 13.7 million active users globally, which is no small number, and it affords the provider adequate capital to keep developing games that rank highly with users. China Mobile’s customer base, being a major mobile telecom company for the most populous nation in the world, is a staggering 740 million. This will give FL Mobile’s products a massive boost in exposure, as its games will be included on China Mobile devices, making it feasible that FL’s works could be seen by more than 50 times more people.

China Mobile and NQ Mobile already have a very close relationship, being two of the major mobile service providers in China. CEO of FL Mobile Dr. Tony Ni said of this, “China Mobile selecting FL Mobile to become an important game content provider for its Game Center App Store is indicative of our ability to operate and ultimately monetize important titles through our platform.”

Thanks to this merger, not only does FL Mobile get vastly more exposure, but China Mobile gets much better games as well.
