Samsung Telecommunications America Expands its Wireless Enterprise Portfolio

Mobile technology has now become an integral part of the working environment, and organizations are taking advantage of this new resource to increase efficiency and improve productivity. As BYOD initiatives become part of the corporate landscape, the infrastructure to deliver access to these wireless devices must be available throughout the organization. Samsung Telecommunications America has introduced two new products to improve the wireless enterprise working environment so businesses can use mobile technology effectively.

The new WLAN controller and access points will optimize the wireless enterprise experience by delivering faster connectivity for business users while at the same time providing IT departments with a simplified management platform. Having a seamless mobile experience allows members of the organization as well as customers and business partners to collaborate and exchange information from virtually anywhere.

The new Samsung Wireless Enterprise portfolio includes the Samsung 11ac Access Point Series (WEA400) and SMB WLAN Controller (WEC8050). They are designed to deliver fast and undisrupted connectivity throughout the organization while addressing many of the control and security issues IT managers demand.

Having a reliable wireless network is one of the most important foundations in today's connected business environment. Without the proper access point and controllers in place, employees will not be as productive or efficient, thus costing the organization valuable time and money trying to resolve wireless connectivity issues.

The Samsung 11ac Access Point Series (WEA400) provides next generation Wi-Fi speeds and connection anywhere in the office. The technology delivers higher throughput, capacity and connectivity to deliver voice and video streaming no matter how many number of devices are being used. Some of the features of the WEA400 are:

Self-Organizing Network (SON) - cell configuration and coverage are automatically optimized to suit specific network requirements. This allows a high level of quality management during operations, dramatically shortens design schedule, and reduces design cost.

Voice Aware Traffic Scheduling (VaTS) – is a Samsung's patented technology that eliminates voice quality degradation due to an increase of devices in concurrent calls. It increases concurrent call capacity by 50 percent even if there is high volume.

Wire/Wireless integrated management – the Samsung WLAN managers supports remote management using smart phones for access points as well as for the access point controllers, delivering an efficient wireless infrastructure control by supporting Samsung L2 switch.

The Samsung SMB WLAN Controller (WEC8050) is an integrated handover and LTE technology that creates connections for employees using tablets, smartphones or notebook PCs. IT managers are able to gain greater transparency and control to improve security and minimize downtime by managing up to 75 access points and 1,500 devices while ensuring system redundancy.
