T-Mobile Announces Channel Partner Program

With the “Un-carrier revolution” T-Mobile has been making waves in the telecommunications industry as it challenges traditional consumer models and reevaluates best practices. The latest announcement as a part of this movement is the company’s new Channel Partner Program, which aims to bring these benefits to the channel partner community. Channel partners are companies that form agreements with T-Mobile to market and sell its products, but have always been relegated to the sidelines in terms of receiving benefits and fair services.

“With the T-Mobile Channel Partner Program, we are providing wireless channel partners ongoing residual compensation for maintaining relationships with business customers who want access to our revolutionary Un-carrier simplicity, transparency and predictability,” said Drew Kelton, executive vice president of T-Mobile Business Markets. “For the past 16 months, T-Mobile has been breaking down the barriers the old telecoms have built to protect themselves and their profits. With this program, we’re taking the fight to the partner channel.”

The program promises to put direct on par with brick-and-mortar sales forces and reward channel partners for their commitment with a monthly compensation plan. T-Mobile’s Simple Choice for Business offers unlimited international data and texting at no additional charge while abolishing annual service contracts as part of the Un-carrier revolution. The company also launched their Test Drive program, which offers a fourteen-day trial of testing T-Mobile’s data network on an iPhone 5s.

The full program still has yet to be launched, but preliminary enrollment was offered to several master agent partners and immediately accepted. This move is well in line with T-Mobile’s commitment to reorganize its business solutions into a design that rewards loyalty. More information and updates on the program’s development are available on the T-Mobile website.
