Cory Joseph, Toronto Raptor and LG G6 smartphone ambassador, has reportedly used his G6 to create a new style of selfie, the twofie.
“The twofie is a thing you can only do if you have the same smartphone as I do,” said Joseph. “My smartphone's square camera mode lets me take full advantage of the multiple cameras by letting me photograph the scene in front of me and my reaction to it - at the same time. Essentially it's a double selfie. And it's awesome.”
To add to the excitement at the game, co-branded LG G6 and Raptors t-shirts were tossed into the stands and four lucky fans who received a voucher with their t-shirt also won a new LG G6 smartphone.
The LG G6 was unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February, where it won numerous awards and recognition. In addition to camera features such as ability to take twofies, the phone features a large screen within an ergonomically designed device for more convenient one-handed operation. The LG G6 is available through the following carriers: Bell, Eastlink, Fido, Freedom Mobile, Koodo Mobile, Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS, Videotron and Virgin Mobile.
As ever more mobile devices enter the global markets, these device makers are always looking for more and better ways of getting attention for their devices and their new features. And while the celebrity endorsement is a classic strategy, introducing a signature move like the twofie (not a good name. I would have gone with the POV2fie. OK, that’s harder than I thought), is a fun and clever way to put a spotlight onto key attributes. Look for more of this, probably not done as well.
