Technology Sector Companies VirnetX and Tellabs Drive Rapid Expansion in Mobile Market

Expansion of mobile workforces within corporations is driving the need for advanced connection solutions which enable connection access between employees and the corporate server. A number of enterprise customers sporting information technology patents are being actively supported by rapidly expanding 4G Wireless market. VirnetX, a provider of software and technology solutions that secure real-time communications over the Internet, currently has a patent for technology solutions which have been developed to enable complete securing of a mobile device which means phone manufacturers going forward will be required to pay royalties to VirnetX.

Increases in the use of mobile devices for tasks such as online shopping, business communications and the global expansion of smartphones have highlighted the need for robust security from potential and actual threats such as hacking and Internet crime. It is also driving the need for securing of communications. Tellabs, provider of mobile and optical solutions for telecom service providers, enterprises and government customers, has strategically increased its presence in the mobile Internet market. Communication equipment manufacturers are quickly adopting themselves to the rapid advances in 2G, 3G and 4G network technologies which has also delivered them with new growth opportunities. In an announcement last month, Manitoba NetSet said that Tellabs will support it in bringing 4G wireless broadband to rural Canadians across the Manitoba province. The Mobile Backhaul technology developed by Tellabs is capable of enabling easy transition of any network to packet technology while providing carrier-class reliability and cost-effective support for 3G and 4G.
