Verizon Wireless Celebrates One-Year Anniversary of 4G LTE Deployment

Verizon Wireless official’s said that they are happy to celebrate the one-year anniversary of their deployment of 4G LTE. The company initially took the 4G deployment in 38 major markets, plus a 39th in West Lafayette, Indiana – the home of Purdue University.

The officials further said that the initial 39 markets weren’t all small, and covered places like metro New York City, San Francisco, Chicagoland and Atlanta.

Verizon Wireless 4G LTE technology offers average data rates in real-world, loaded network environments to be 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink. This improves coverage strength inside buildings, as it runs on a powerful 700 megahertz wireless frequency.

The company officials said that by next couple of weeks, Verizon Wireless will be in 190 markets, covering more than 200 million people, with numerous different devices, giving option to users to have a great selection of smartphones, tablets, mobile hotspots and USB modems to access the network.

The 4G LTE Devices includes Smartphones like  HTC Rezound, DROID RAZR by Motorola, Samsung Stratosphere, Pantech Breakout, DROID BIONIC by Motorola, Revolution by LG, DROID Charge by Samsung and ThunderBolt by HTC and tablets variety ranges from Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with 4G LTE and Motorola XOOM. Notebooks and Netbooks like HP Pavilion dm1-3010nr Entertainment PC and Compaq Mini CQ10-688nr comes with built-in 4G LTE.

Verizon was recently in news for recognizing the need for innovative technologies to assist the healthcare sector. The company’s Digital Healthcare Suite assists the healthcare professionals in this objective, Verizon Wireless has announced.

Leveraging a cloud-based platform and connected medical devices from partners such as Entra Health, the company is developing a new digital care management solution focused on chronic care management, the company stated in a press release.
