Elephant Talk to Help AirTouch Launch Wireless Service in U.S.

Netherlands communications technology giant Elephant Talk Communications Corp. has signed a Letter of Intent to provide a carrier grade mobile services platform to America’s communication equipment company AirTouch Communication.

As part of the deal, Elephant Talk will connect the Mobile Virtual Network Enabler (MVNE) platform in the US to Airtouch’s partner LightSquared 4G LTE network.

The agreement also includes providing the implementation of a full MVNE system, a Ggateway Support Network (GGSN), IN Intelligent Networking Platform, a Customer Relationship Management platform (CRM), a Full Rating & Billing Platform and STP/Signaling Platform for AirTouch to launch its services in the United States.

Using the LightSquared network, AirTouch intends to offer its own branded wireless connectivity, opening up an important new revenue stream. Consumers and businesses that purchase AirTouch products will be able to sign up for accompanying AirTouch wireless connectivity for those devices. AirTouch plans to offer its devices through LightSquared's other wholesale partners as well.

“This is a step for AirTouch to be a cost effective provider of mobile phone services directly to our customers with 4G LTE service,” said Hide Kanakubo, AirTouch CEO.

AirTouch products converge various services including voice, data/Internet, security services and video over the cellular network. AirTouch says it is hoping to offer numerous varieties communication equipments to converge various services on one hardware platform.

In other news, Elephant Talk Communications Corp. recently announced that the company has been approved to trade shares of its common stock on the NYSE Amex stock exchange. Elephant Talk anticipates its common stock will begin trading on the exchange on December 5, 2011, under the symbol ETAK.

After commencement of trading on the NYSE Amex, the company's common stock will no longer be traded on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol OTCBB ETAK.
