C Spire Wireless Introduces Ultra-Rugged Sonim XP 3400

C Spire Wireless, diversified wireless communications company, has announced a new ultra-rugged mobile phone, the Sonim XP 3400 Armor, for employees who are required to work in tough outdoor and industrial locations.

The XP 3400 Armor has been designed to meet military-grade specifications for reliability in harsh environments. Feedback from more than 500,000 users working in tough environments was taken into account by the creators of the world's most rugged mobile phone to date. As a result the XP 3400 Armor is completely dust-proof and can withstand any damage even after being submerged for 1 hour in 6.5 feet of water. It can also survive a drop from up to 6.5 feet on concrete. The phone comes with a 1.5mm thick scratch and shock resistant CorningGorilla glass lens over a two-inch high-resolution display.

The phone is a combination of hardened rubber which has been moulded in a reinforced casing of fiberglass. Furthermore, the phone can function in extreme weather conditions and is transport and thermal shock proof.

Organizations employing mobile workforces can leverage the XP 3400 Armor to bring down operating costs and significantly increase both productivity and customer satisfaction while enhancing the safety of their employees. Designed with a professional-grade assisted-GPS feature, the XP 3400 Armor ensures location accuracy and faster fixes on location via its advanced signal sensitivity. Additionally, the phone offers users with 9.5 hours of talk time or a standby time of 850 hours even for those extra long work days and is Brew enabled which means it easily supports third party applications as well. With its mobile resource management applications, the XP 3400 Armor offers capabilities which include alerts, workforce location monitoring, fleet tracking and monitoring, as well as  timecard reporting, updates of real-time work orders, job scheduling and event confirmation, in addition to collection of data and reports.

The XP 3400 Armor's additional features include a 2 MP camera with bright LED flash and video recording capabilities, and omni-directional microphone with noise-cancelling capabilities, a 23 mm diameter, water proof speaker with high volume transmission and reception, a LED flashlight and FM radio, media player as well as a microSD card slot. The phone also supports native email client and a HTML web browser, spaced out keys for ease in use and comes with an extensive 3 year warranty which even includes accidental damages.
